Key takeaways

  • Nomac Guides' 3-day Dubai itinerary covers modern and Old Dubai on Day 1, the Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah and a desert safari on Day 2, and Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina on Day 3.
  • The video gives a time estimate for almost every stop, from 1.5 to 2 hours at the Burj Khalifa to about 7 hours for an afternoon-to-evening desert safari.
  • The cheapest experiences in the plan are free or close to it: the Dubai Fountain show, wandering Old Dubai and the souks, Kite Beach, and a 1-dirham abra ride across the Creek.

A Dubai 3-day itinerary for a first visit can cover the Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future and Old Dubai on Day 1, a Burj Al Arab tour, Madinat Jumeirah and a desert safari on Day 2, and Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina on Day 3. That is the plan in Nomac Guides' 3-day Dubai itinerary video, published in December 2025 by a creator who says he spent months over the last couple of years exploring the city.

Below is his route day by day, built only from what the video shows and says, with links to the moment where each stop appears.

The video description says the creator aimed for a relatively budget-friendly version of Dubai, and it gives a time estimate and a rough price in US dollars for nearly every stop. Two things to know before you follow it:

  • Most bookable stops have affiliate links. The description lists booking links for the Burj Khalifa, Museum of the Future, Burj Al Arab, the safari, the Palm and Marina activities, and notes they may earn the channel a commission.
  • Days 1 and 2 are long. If you prefer fewer stops, our guide to how many things to do per day on vacation helps you decide what to cut.

Day 1: Modern Dubai and Old Dubai

When Stop Time to allow Creator's tip
Morning Burj Khalifa 1.5 to 2 hours Reserve online and go early
Late morning Dubai Mall 2 to 3 hours Free to walk around; food court lunch
Afternoon Museum of the Future About 1.5 hours Book early; tickets sell out
Late afternoon CityWalk 45 minutes to 1 hour A free break before evening
Evening Dinner and the Dubai Fountain 1 to 2 hours Shows run every 30 minutes at night
Night Old Dubai, the abra and the souks 2 to 3 hours Cross the Creek for 1 dirham

Start at the Burj Khalifa, where you ride up to the 124th and 125th floors for the full panorama. The creator's favorite fact is that after sunset on the ground you can ride up and watch the sun set a second time. Sunset slots can cost more, so book ahead and go early to avoid crowds.

Walk straight into the Dubai Mall next. It is so big that it has its own app, the creator says, and even 2 to 3 hours only covers the highlights: the waterfall wall, the aquarium viewing panel and the ice rink. Have lunch at the food court, then take the metro (or walk) to the Museum of the Future, which he calls the most impressive museum he has ever seen, full of immersive, hands-on exhibits.

CityWalk, next to the Coca-Cola Arena, is a free open-air area with cafés, street art and Burj Khalifa views. For dinner, head back to the restaurants with balconies over the fountain, then stay for the Dubai Fountain show. It is free, and for 20 dirhams you can stand on a floating platform for front-row views, though you may get soaked.

End the day in Old Dubai around Al Seef and the Creek. Spend an hour or so walking the older architecture, waterfront and alleys, then take an abra across the Creek for 1 dirham, a roughly 10-minute ride the creator calls one of the most authentic experiences in the city. On the other side, wander the souks: the gold souk, the spice stalls and the shop displaying what is billed as the world's largest ring.

Day 2: The Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah and the desert

When Stop Time to allow Creator's tip
Morning Burj Al Arab tour 1 to 2 hours Book ahead; walk-ins typically not allowed
Late morning Madinat Jumeirah 45 minutes to 1 hour Its souk is air-conditioned
Lunch Restaurants around Madinat 45 minutes to 1 hour About $25 to $30 per person
2:30 to 9:30 p.m. Desert safari About 7 hours Land Rovers, falcons and dinner at camp

The day opens inside the Burj Al Arab, which the creator says he missed on an earlier trip. A tour takes you through extravagant suites and hallways, and the guide in the video says the Royal Suite costs $54,000 a day. The important part is logistics: you need a reservation even to enter, so book in advance.

Walk or drive to Madinat Jumeirah, a canal-side complex with stone paths, traditional architecture and views back to the Burj Al Arab. The creator filmed in the heat and recommends it partly because the souk is air-conditioned. It is free to wander, with an optional abra ride along the waterways.

After lunch, the afternoon belongs to the desert. The creator went with Platinum Heritage, and the experience he describes includes:

  1. Vintage Land Rovers for the drive into the dunes.
  2. Wildlife and a falcon demonstration at sunset.
  3. A Bedouin-style camp with dinner, cultural performances and a lounge area for stargazing.

He calls it one of the most memorable things you can do in the UAE. Packages were quoted at $185 to $250.

Day 3: Palm Jumeirah beaches and Dubai Marina

When Stop Time to allow Creator's tip
Sunrise Paddleboarding at Riva Beach 1 to 1.5 hours Or swim at Kite Beach instead
Morning The View at the Palm 45 minutes to 1 hour Take the Palm Monorail with a day pass
Late morning Lost Chambers Aquarium At least 1 hour Good for families
Midday Atlantis water park (optional) Several hours Arrive as early as possible
Afternoon Dubai Marina 1 to 2 hours Ride the XLine zipline if you want a thrill
Sunset and evening Marina sunset, then dinner or a cruise Evening Walk the Marina again at night

Day 3 is the slower day. Start with sunrise paddleboarding on calm water at Riva Beach on Palm Jumeirah (75 dirhams, about $22, for an hour), or swap it for a morning swim at Kite Beach, which the creator calls probably the most popular beach in Dubai and describes as free, quiet and clean.

Buy an unlimited day pass for the Palm Monorail and get off at the first stop, Nakheel Mall, for The View at the Palm, which he says gives the best view of the entire island. Ride on toward Atlantis for the Lost Chambers Aquarium, and add the water park if you want slides. The creator rode a near-vertical drop slide and highly recommends it.

In the afternoon, walk Dubai Marina, which he calls one of the most walkable parts of the city. The XLine zipline crosses the Marina at up to 80 km/h and is not cheap at all, but he calls it the coolest zipline he has been on. Watch the sunset between the towers or from the beach facing Bluewaters Island and the Ain Dubai wheel, then have dinner in the Marina or take a boat cruise.

If you want one more sunset spot, the creator suggests the promenade at Dubai Creek Harbor, with Burj Khalifa views and few visitors when he filmed. He admits it is logistically awkward from the Marina and suggests the metro to beat traffic.

What the creator recommends

The video does not name anything to skip. Its warnings are about logistics: book the big sights early, expect to get wet on the fountain platform, use the metro when traffic is heavy, and plan around the midday heat.

What the plan costs, according to the video

Here are the prices the creator quotes, in US dollars unless he gave dirhams. Treat them as late-2025 estimates and note that some attractions charge residents and visitors differently.

Item Price quoted in the video
Burj Khalifa About $50, more for sunset slots
Museum of the Future About $46
Dubai Fountain floating platform 20 dirhams (the show itself is free)
Abra across the Creek 1 dirham, about 30 cents
Burj Al Arab tour About $80
Desert safari $185 to $250
Paddleboarding, one hour 75 dirhams, about $22
Palm Monorail day pass About $9.50
The View at the Palm About $30
Lost Chambers Aquarium About $37 per adult
Atlantis water park About 300 dirhams for non-residents
XLine zipline About $190
Marina boat cruise About $60 per person

Meals ranged from about $15 at the Dubai Mall food court to $30 to $60 per person for dinner overlooking the fountain. To turn numbers like these into a daily figure, see our guide on how to estimate a travel budget per day.

Getting around and booking tips

The creator relies on the Dubai Metro, which he calls extremely clean, safe and efficient, with tickets of about $1 to $4 depending on cabin and distance. On the Palm, the monorail day pass covers the stops, and the abras handle the Creek.

Reserve the Burj Khalifa, Museum of the Future, Burj Al Arab tour and safari before you fly, since those are the stops he says sell out or require reservations. Our checklist of what to book ahead of a trip covers timing. Traveling with children? Day 3's aquarium and water park fit well, and our guide to a family trip itinerary with kids shows how to pace a day like that.
